We're working with a well-established organisation based in Leicester City Centre who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure across management accounts, budgeting, and financial reporting within a dynamic environment.
The Role
Supporting the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial information and supporting operational teams across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing journals including accruals and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting monthly management accounts
- Investigating and analysing variances
- Assisting with budgets and forecasts
- Supporting year-end processes and audit
- Acting as a first point of contact for finance queries
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Studying AAT or recently qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Confident using Excel and finance systems
- Experienced in reconciliations and working with financial data
- Organised, proactive, and keen to learn
- Able to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders
