Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and skilled Art & Design Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in the Wellingborough area. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher passionate about developing students' creativity, practical skills, and confidence across Art and DT.
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and diverse lessons across Art and Design Technology at Key Stages 3 and 4
Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum requirements
Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and experimentation in a safe learning environment
Prepare materials, tools, and resources for practical lessons
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Work collaboratively within the Creative Arts/DT department
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in both Art and Design Technology
Confidence delivering a range of practical and theory-based lessons
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A passion for fostering creativity and innovation in young people
Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
