Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Composite Doors & Fabricated Door Systems

North Yorkshire to Scotland (field-based role with extensive regional travel)
Overview
This is a field-based Area Sales Manager position responsible for developing and managing sales across a well-established and growing territory. The role focuses on selling into fabricators, composite door manufacturers, and specialist door producers, providing technical solutions and long-term account growth.
The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market share, strengthening existing relationships, and driving new business within the fenestration and door manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop sales across the North Yorkshire to Scotland region
* Build and maintain strong relationships with fabricators, composite door manufacturers, and trade customers
* Identify, target, and win new business opportunities within the sector
* Develop and grow existing accounts through regular contact and account planning
* Provide technical product support and assist customers with specification requirements
* Work closely with internal teams including estimating, customer service, and production to ensure smooth order progression
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
* Achieve agreed sales targets, margin objectives, and KPIs
* Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and territory planning
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in an Area Sales Manager or field-based technical sales role
* Strong background in fenestration, doors, windows, building products, or fabrication
* Experience selling into fabricators or manufacturers is highly desirable
* Strong technical understanding of composite door systems or related products advantageous
* Confident managing a large geographical territory autonomously
* Strong commercial awareness with a consultative sales approach
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Self-driven, organised, and target-focused
* Full UK driving licence required
