Area Sales Manager
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus Structure
Location: UK Wide (Remote / Field-Based)
We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a strong background in packaging machinery to join a leading industrial equipment business.
This is a field-based role covering the UK, so candidates can be based anywhere in the country, provided they are comfortable with regular national travel to customers.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record selling packaging machinery or closely related capital equipment into manufacturing, food, FMCG, e-commerce, or industrial production environments. You will be responsible for managing existing accounts, developing new business, and delivering technical, solution-led sales from initial enquiry through to order and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and grow sales of packaging machinery across UK manufacturing sectors
Manage and expand key customer accounts
Identify and win new business opportunities
Conduct site visits, product demonstrations, and technical consultations
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions
Prepare quotations and manage full sales cycle activity
Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targetsRequirements:
Essential: Experience selling packaging machinery or similar capital equipment
Strong technical understanding of industrial machinery and production processes
Proven B2B sales experience in a field-based or national role
Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills
Ability to manage complex, long-cycle sales projects
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationallyPackage:
