With this growth has come the opportunity for a new and integral role to work closely alongside the Managing Director to assist in building the operative functions of Groves Group; which will require roles within A2 - Architecture & Development, Montley and future business acquisitions.
Role Overview
We are looking for someone who has exceptional attention to detail, is a strong communicator and thrives on responsibility to work closely alongside the company’s MD. You will be a strategic assistant filtering and prioritising business objectives and helping translate ideas into structured plans.
This is a versatile role that requires assisting not only the office and the team, but primarily helping the MD to push the business forward to unlock opportunities. You will assist and oversee a growing portfolio of business opportunities and consultant collaborators.
Responsibilities
EA/Business Operations
* Supporting the MD with general day-to-day tasks and business administration
* Working alongside the MD to build our portfolio of businesses
* Building partnerships that bolster the Groups consultancy team and assisting with maintaining costs and fees across portfolio projects.
* Creation of proposals, professional service agreements, and project fee schedules
* Managing and tracking all invoicing and business expenditure
* Managing company accounts and liaising with accountants for payroll, tax statements and payments
* Maintaining the company machinery inventory across all businesses, including company vehicles
Staff & Recruitment
* Assist in compiling job descriptions and recruitment, managing offer letters, contracts and onboarding
* Manage staff records, timesheets, holiday, expenses, as well as staff benefits and exploring new offerings
* Assist with our Apprenticeship offering and working with training providers
* Exploring new opportunities and initiatives for graduates
Events
* Manage and organise all company internal and external events
Requirements
* Experience in a EA/PA predominant role, working in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to multi-task and manage work streams efficiently is a must
* Discretion is vital within this role, and trust with confidential information
* Impeccable communication skills and highly organised
* Experience is QuickBooks is preferable
* Live within a commutable distance of Fareham
