We're exclusively partnering with a prestigious art gallery that has been established for over 30 years. As the business enters an exciting new chapter, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper or Accountant to play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a well-respected business.
This is a varied position offering plenty of autonomy, combining remote flexibility with the opportunity to work closely with the Directors in a unique and specialist industry.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping and finance function
Process sales and purchase ledger transactions
Carry out bank reconciliations across GBP and foreign currency accounts
Manage supplier payments and payment runs
Produce monthly management accounts and P&L forecasts
Maintain the nominal ledger and complete stock reconciliations
Prepare debtor and creditor reports
Process payroll and staff expenses
Prepare VAT returns and liaise with external accountants during year-end
Produce monthly cashflow forecasts and financial reports
Support the Directors with day-to-day financial queries and reporting
Ensure accurate financial records are maintained across all business activities
Requirements
AAT qualified, part-qualified, fully qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
Previous experience in a Bookkeeper or Accountant position
Excellent understanding of bookkeeping principles and management accounts
Strong knowledge of VAT processes and financial reporting
Experience using Sage, Xero or similar accounting software
