We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Assistant keen to progress to join our team. The role with involve preparation of monthly accounts and quarterly VAT returns, as well as general bookkeeping, sales ledger and purchase ledger.

Duties
* Maintain and update financial records using Xero
* Invoicing clients and collecting and posting cash
* Processing purchase ledger invoices and staff expenses
* Posting salary journals and other monthly closing adjustments
* Monthly calculation of commissions and bonuses
* Bank reconciliations and liaising with the bank
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Working closely with the business Founder and the part time CFO to deliver business objectives
Qualifications
* Previous experience in the recruitment sector and dealing with contractors
* Proven experience in dealing with clients and credit control
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks is essential.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and external clients.
