Salary: Circa £30,000 (Dependent on Experience)
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a long established independent accountancy practice in Scarborough. The firm operates from more than one office and offers a supportive, team focused environment with exposure to a varied portfolio of clients.
The practice provides a full range of services including accounts, tax and some audit work, acting for businesses and professionals across a wide mix of sectors. This is a broad, hands on role suited to someone who enjoys variety and working across different areas of practice.

Responsibilities of the Accountant role include:
• Preparation of year end accounts
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Bookkeeping duties
• Potential exposure to audit
• Assisting with general practice duties as required
Requirements of the Accountant role include:
• Previous UK accountancy practice experience essential
• AAT Level 4 desirable but not essential
• Comfortable working across accounts, VAT and general compliance work
