This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Secondary PRU in Macclesfield, delivering a variety of subjects to small groups of students working below their expected level.

This is a full-time, long-term position with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Basics

šŸ’· Pay: Up to £240 / day for first 12 weeks DOE. Paid to scale from 13th week.
ā° Hours: Full-time | Mon-Fri | 8:30am-3:30pm
šŸ“‘ Contract: Long term - covering long term absence - could eventually go perm

What You'll Be Doing

• Teach multiple subjects to small KS3 & KS4 groups.
• Use creative strategies to engage and motivate learners.
• Track progress and adapt lessons for individual needs.
• Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Collaborate with staff and external professionals on personalised plans.

Who You Are

• Experienced in SEMH, PRU, or similar settings.
• Confident teaching multiple subjects to diverse learners.
• Resilient, patient, and skilled at managing challenging behaviour.
• Creative, flexible, and able to make learning accessible.
• Committed to motivating students to achieve their potential.

What You'll Need

• CV covering your last 10 years of work.
• Proof of right to work & address in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to buy a new one).
• Two professional references (one from a school).
• QTS/QTLS certificate or recognized equivalent.
