Teaching & Learning
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Teach GCSE English Language and Literature, ensuring strong outcomes for all learners.
Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support students with diverse learning needs.
Monitor and track student progress, using data to inform practice and interventions.
Provide meaningful feedback to students, promoting literacy skills and academic improvement.
Classroom Environment
Create a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
Implement effective behaviour management in line with school policies.
Encourage high standards of effort, engagement, and achievement.
Professional Practice
Work collaboratively with colleagues in the English department and across the school.
Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and departmental initiatives.
Attend parents' evenings, departmental meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school events.
Support extracurricular activities such as reading clubs, creative writing workshops, or school performances.
