About the School
We are recruiting on behalf of our partner school in Camberley, a new SEND school that has recently opened its doors to learners aged 7 -17 . The school is built on a foundation of inclusion, creativity, and care, providing a high-quality, individualised education for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, moderate learning difficulties (MLD), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate and forward-thinking team, helping to shape the school’s culture, curriculum, and future growth.

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Teacher of Design & Technology and Computing to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that spark curiosity and nurture creativity in our pupils. You will play a key role in developing both practical and digital learning provision, supporting students to gain valuable skills for life, work, and independence.

Working within a collaborative and supportive team, you will ensure that every pupil has access to a curriculum that is meaningful, inspiring, and tailored to their individual learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality DT and Computing lessons adapted to meet the varied needs of SEND learners.

* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.

* Integrate practical design, technology, and computing skills into creative projects promoting independence and problem-solving.

* Use adaptive teaching strategies and assistive technology to support communication and learning.

* Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and the SENDCO to ensure pupil progress in line with individual EHCP targets.

* Maintain accurate assessment records and contribute to personalised learning plans.

* Engage with parents, carers, and external professionals to support holistic pupil development.

* Play an active role in developing the school’s growing DT and Computing curriculum and facilities.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.

* Experience teaching Design & Technology and/or Computing, ideally within a SEND or inclusive setting.

* A strong understanding of differentiation and adaptive teaching for diverse learning needs.

* Creativity, flexibility, and a nurturing approach to classroom practice.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* A commitment to continuous professional development and contributing to the school’s growth.

In Return, We Offer:

* The opportunity to help shape a new school community.

* A supportive, collaborative working environment focused on wellbeing and professional growth.

* Ongoing SEND training and career development opportunities.

* Modern facilities and excellent resources for practical and digital learning.

* A chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs.
