Intro:

The Deputy Director of Adult Social Services (Deputy DASS) plays a critical role in shaping and delivering high-performing, person-centred Adult Social Care in Haringey.

As the Deputy DASS, the postholder will support the statutory DASS in fulfilling their responsibilities, acting as a key advisor and strategic leader across the Adult Social Care system.

Their role will be to;

Provide senior leadership and oversight to ensure continuity, resilience, and excellence in service delivery.
Provide strategic oversight and support to the three Localities, cultivating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
Through collaborative leadership and robust systems, they will enable consistent service delivery across localities, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and organisational standards.
Lead the Council’s contribution to the Neighbourhood Health Service, embedding Adult Social Care within the design and delivery of neighbourhood teams
Develop and embed a strong and effective performance culture, driving performance to provide improved outcomes for residents.
Champion innovation, workforce development, digital transformation, and community co-production to strengthen neighbourhood integration.

Be hybrid working, with requirement to be on site as required (likely minimum 3 days a week) Monday to Friday but will be required to attend evening as required and occasional weekend events.

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England

This is a challenging and demanding period of time and the post holder will play a key role in delivering the Improvement in services and Improvement Plan for ASC.

Essential Requirements:

* Degree/Masters in Social Work and SWE registration.

* 2+ years of post-qualification experience.

* Strong knowledge of UK social care legislation and practice.

* Right to work in UK
