I am looking for a Commis Chef to work at a state of the art exhibition centre that caters for a variety of functions and events in the Colchester area. Must have at least 12 months experience working as a Commie Chef in a commercial kitchen and be be proficient in food preparation and kitchen hygiene and safety.
Job description
- Monitor kitchen equipment
- Work closely with the head chef to develop new skills and knowledge
- Measures, mixes, and prepares meal ingredients, sauces, and seasonings
- Preparing and packaging of sandwiches
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy
- Deal with deliveries and stock
- Plates meal items under the chef de partie’s supervision
Experince and qualifications
- 6 months experince working in a commercial kitchen
- Profeesional cookery qualification
- Health & safety and food hygiene and allergen certificate. Training can be offered
- Must have a good work ethic and be passionate about food .
