Are you passionate about education and eager to make a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive secondary school in the Middleton area, starting September 2025.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom, working closely with teaching staff to promote a positive and productive learning environment. The role involves assisting pupils with a range of needs, including those who may exhibit challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

Support classroom teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management

Provide one-to-one and small group support for students

Build positive relationships with students to support engagement and learning

Help maintain a calm and respectful classroom atmosphere

Work collaboratively with staff to address individual learning and behavioural needs

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A university degree (essential)

A genuine interest in education and a desire to pursue a career in the sector

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude

The ability to remain calm and confident when managing challenging behaviours
