Sous Chef

Location: Surrey and Hampshire

Temporary

Salary: Up to £18.00 per hour DOE!

We are currently seeking skilled Sous Chef’s to join or temporary team based over Surrey and Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for talented chefs who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and are committed to delivering exceptional food quality across various venues, including restaurants, hotels, events, and catering establishments.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
Support the head chef in overseeing all daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth running service.
Ensure all food preparation meets health, safety and hygiene standards.
Contribute to the creation and development of menus ensuring quality.
Manage stock levels.
Train, motivate and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment.
Maintain a clean, organized and efficient workspace.
Adapt to different kitchen environments and teams while maintaining a professional attitude.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Flexibility to work in various kitchens and adjust to different menus and team dynamics.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and deliver high quality results.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Relevant culinary qualifications.
