We are currently recruiting for an assistant chef to work full time within a large educational institution in Leeds city centre. The role of an assistant chef presents a fantastic opportunity for a well-organised candidate. We are looking for people who enjoy working in teams and are dedicated.

Main duties:

Preparation, display and service of all food items
Assisting in a busy kitchen applying a knowledge or awareness of food hygiene, kitchen hygiene, Health and Safety legislation and understanding of COSHH.
Working as part of the team to prepare and present food items produced within the kitchen, including the canteen menu
Ensuring that all stock is rotated

The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and will have experience working within a busy kitchen environment catering to large volume.
