Post 16 SEND Teaching Assistant required.
Reach Education Ltd have just celebrated our 15th Year of working with our wonderful schools and pupils within the South Yorkshire area.
We are looking for a Post 16 Teaching Assistant to help us continue providing a fantastic service supporting children with disabilities.
Do you want to be part of this growing team?
The role is full time and will continue in the new academic year, but could become permanent for the right person.
The Education setting is new and it is very well run, the needs of the young people are paramount.
The pupils have SEND which can display challenging behaviour so you will need to be resilient.
Skills and Experience required.
Experience of working or volunteering with children and young people who have SEND.
Able to provide a safe, engaging and caring environment.
A proven track record of being able to work under pressure.
Attention to detail.
Knowledge of de-escalation techniques.
Team Teach Training would be advantageous, however training can be given.
As the role is working with young people who need routine and regular support from staff who know and understand them, we require commitment to work 5 days per week in term time.
