Gather & Gather, part of the CH&Co Catering Limited family are an award-winning catering business delivering distinctive café, restaurant and hospitality services to corporate clients across the UK & Ireland with a particular focus on the application of market-leading consumer technology and well-being programmes.
 
The People & Culture Manager for our Sky contract will work closely with the Sky Account Director and the CH&CO People team to provide support for the leadership team in managing, motivating and developing our people across the Sky contract and driving the Gather & Gather and Sky culture across the estate.
 
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
·     Champion the Gather & Gather and Sky culture and ensure all employees are aware of our ideals and associated desired behaviours, acting as a role model and challenge any behaviours which do not promote our culture
·     Bring innovative ideas and solutions to improving the people management and development processes and initiatives, to support business growth
·     Take an active role in the Sky estate leadership team, ensuring our people focus and culture remain central to everything we do
·     Contribute to the development of the annual People Plan for the Sky estate by working with the CH&CO People and Development team and to drive the implementation of the plan within Sky – including, but not limited to the following:
o   Review Process - Support the Gather & Gather annual review process, working closely with the Sky Leadership teams and CH&CO People and Development
o   Talent Management and Resourcing - Lead on all activities and ensure succession and development plans are up to date for key roles and we continue to attract and retain the best talent within the contract
o   Support the wider People Team with the delivery of central initiatives and projects and work closely with the Sky team to deliver on contract specific initiatives and projects
o   Ensure annual learning and development plans are in place that support the business objectives, talent and succession plans and personal development plans
·     Review and present monthly MI to leadership team and client, with associated narrative and proposed actions and have knowledge and understanding of the financial and commercial aspects of the contract
·     Review and analyse data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee performance, retention, and employee engagement
·     Actively monitor data on labour costs, employment relations and sickness absence to identify trends, risks and cost saving opportunities
·     Support significant change initiatives in both a strategic and operational capacity, e.g. culture change programmes, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, TUPE transfers
·     Work with the wider People Team to ensure people policies, initiatives and procedures are fit for purpose and meet the medium/long term needs of the business
 
Experience and Qualifications
·     Sound HR or L&D knowledge and a passion for people and culture
·     CIPD qualification desirable, or a desire to achieve the full qualification
·     Resilient, with the ability to influence key decision makers and challenge when necessary
·     Excellent team player with the ability to build effective team relationships and promote an environment of trust and flexibility
·     Knowledge of employment law and experience of dealing with complex case workload in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications
·     Sound HR or L&D knowledge and a passion for people and culture
·     CIPD qualification desirable, or a desire to achieve the full qualification
·     Hands on, team player with confidence to build relationships with the business with a passion about culture and people
·     Resilient, with the ability to influence key decision makers and challenge when necessary
·     Ability to challenge and influence key decision makers with a professional, yet assertive and confident approach
·     Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with people from different levels of the contract
·     Ability to multitask, work to deadlines, prioritise under pressure and use own initiative
·     Excellent team player with the ability to build effective team relationships and promote an environment of trust and flexibility
·     Knowledge of employment law and experience of dealing with complex case workload in a fast-paced environment
·     High levels of emotional intelligence and adaptable communication style
·     Ability to work autonomously and make decisions
·     Flexible and adaptable to change
·     Occasional overnight stays and travel outside of operational region may be required
