Description

CNC Miller (Setter/Operator/Programmer), Swindon

£14.00 - £15.00 per hour (day shift)

With a 20% increase in company turnover and full order books for the next 6 months, this SME engineering company based in Swindon is currently looking for a CNC Miller to set, operate and program two CNC mills, using Heidenhain controls.

You must be able to read and interpret technical drawings, with at least 1 years CNC milling experience. Experience with Heidenhain or Fanuc controls is also required.

There is a good sense of team spirit on the shop floor in this company, so a conscientious team player with a motivated approach is required.

You will be responsible for producing a lot of one offs and small batches using a range of materials including steels and aluminium working to tight tolerances, so the work is interesting, challenging at times and varied.

This is a CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer position, so programming skills are sought.

Programming is carried out both online and offline using Heidenhain controls and Mastercam software. Any experience with these systems would be beneficial.

If you have additional skills in CNC turning, manual and/or CNC grinding and wire and/or spark eroding, this would also be useful, but they are not essential.

This is a lovely, friendly SME company to work for with a great sense of team spirit that can offer the right individual a good level of job security.

Pay rate: £14.20 per hour, rising to £15.15 per hour on successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.

To start: ASAP!

Hours of work: Day shift – 39 hour week

Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm (30 min lunch break)
Friday 7:30am – 12:30pm

Overtime is available if desired.

Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, sick pay scheme, company pension
