Role: Atrium Team Leader

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (term time, 36 weeks per annum)

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Location: Metropolitan University, Aldgate Campus, E1 7NT

Key responsibilities and accountabilities
·Working in partnership with the GM and with finance and budgetary responsibility for the Hospitality operation. Involved in providing staffing, quoting and running multiple events in accordance with client requirements and CH&CO and Sky standards.
·Develop effective working relationships with professional colleagues, and always maintain appropriate professional boundaries in relationships with Sky colleagues and work colleagues
·Always maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
·Take incoming calls and email bookings in a professional manner, meet customers’ requirements – always go that step further to accommodate all customer needs. Ensure you are fully aware of the catering that is available in the hospitality and event brochure.
·Liaise with reception, catering team, engineers, maintenance and cleaning departments.
·Help the Hospitality Team when busy deliver catering orders and clear/set up meeting rooms
·At the end of the day ensure that all emails have been replied to and that all function details have been placed into the hospitality calendar correctly for the following days business.
·Managing and confirming hospitality orders on Hospitality Online on a daily basis
·Placing orders via Trade Simple/Saffron/direct with suppliers for hospitality department, managing the orders and controlling the stock (stock to be kept minimum and also making sure the stock is rotated)
·First point of contact for the clients. Replying emails and answering telephone calls.
·Weekly stocktaking and inputting figures
·Liaising with the chefs daily, sending out the updated catering sheets and making changes where necessary
·Maintaining transfer sheet and updating Saffron
·To be involved in staff training to include health and safety, food hygiene and operational procedures
·To report or solve any issues related to food and beverage. Report any issues to your line manager if it cannot be resolved.
·To ensure all work surfaces and displays are clean, tidy and full at all times.
·Weekly sing off temperature records, delivery, calibration, allergen sheets are maintained at all times
·Make sure that storage area tidy at all time and make sure everybody understands the health and safety policy
·Understand and know how to report an accident, dangerous incident or a near miss
·Follow the Gather and Gather brand standards when displaying the menus
·Serve customers with high standards of customer care at all times.
·Use information on function sheets to coordinate food and beverage ordering for scheduled events
·Remain flexible with an ability to adapt to a variety of different clients
·Support Meeting Centre Office and Service Desk when require
·Cover Meeting Centre Booking and Service Desk mailbox when require - manage any queries, booking requests, book in Condeco and Outlook (Exec involved so high-profile requests)Relationship Management
·Develop and sustain good working relationships with the client at the relevant site.
·Act as the first point of reference for all client comments and concerns and take any necessary action.
·Actively gain customer feedback and to use the information to improve the offering at any given business.

Health & Safety
·To keep up to date with all COSHH and HACCP procedures and methods.
·Ensure all employees adhere to uniform standards.
·To report any equipment and/or building fabric faults and any hygiene, health and safety hazard to the relevant parties on site and in CH&CO.
